ALUMINIUM FRAMEWORK

Aluminum coops, unlike steel or timber, will not rot, rust or deteriorate over time - your coop will be looking just as great in many years' time. Royal Rooster's has designed it's own style of aluminum extrusion with special channels for the mesh or iron to fit into, so that there are no fixings needed on either side of the panels to keep the materials secured.

Black Frame Optional Upgrade: Coops are made with silver anodised aluminium framework as standard, however black anodised framework is also available as an optional upgrade. 

SMALL-SIZED GALVANIZED MESH

Royal Run Deluxe coops are made with small sized galvanised steel mesh that is 25mm x 25mm x 2.5mm. This mesh is very strong and is impossible for foxes to chew through or for you to accidentally damage. 

Mini Mesh Optional Upgrade: If rodents or snakes are a concern where you live, you can alternatively have your coop made with 12.5mm x 12.5mm mesh that is 1.24mm thick.

FOUR DOORS FOR EASY ACCESS

This coop has four different doors for easy access to your chickens. Both ends of the coop open downwards. The roof is also made up of two hinged sections, allowing you to open just the housing section roof or just the run section roof to reach your chickens. This style of coop is also great for a mother hen and her chicks or for quails. 

MINI FLUTED CORRUGATED IRON

The side walls and housing roof of the Royal Run Deluxe is made using mini fluted corrugated iron in Zincalume (silver) colour. This is quality Bluescope steel which is made in Australia.

Colorbond Optional Upgrade: This coop is also available in Colorbond for those after a colour to best suit your backyard. Colours available are Pale Eucalypt, Deep Ocean, Monument and Woodland Grey. Custom Colorbond colours are also available upon request. 

SUMMER VENTILATION

Royal Rooster Australian made coop are of course designed with our very hot summers taken into consideration. The whole front of the housing section on the Royal Run Deluxe is open to allow maximum ventilation in the hot summer months. There are also two side ventilation sections on the sides of the coop, for extra ventilation in the housing area. 

Weather Shield Optional Upgrade: 'Weather shields' are an optional extra that can also be purchased to provide extra protection in wet or windy weather. One shield further encloses the housing section with still a gap for the chickens to walk into the housing area. The other two shields go over the side ventilation areas to keep the housing area nice and cosy in the cool weather. 

OPEN FLOOR DESIGN

The Royal Run Deluxe coops have an open floor design to allow your hens to scratch up the soil below. 

Fox Proof Floor Optional Upgrade: Optional 'fox proof floors' can also be purchased for those needing to protect from foxes or digging dogs. The large sized mesh floor (with 150mm x 100mm rectangles) still ensures your chickens have access to the ground to scratch but also gives you peace of mind about their safety overnight. As it's wired to the base of the coop it can be added or removed if needed and will move along with the coop when you move your coop to a fresh area.

MOBILE COOP

As these coops are made with aluminium rather than heavy steel frames, the coops are easy to move with one person lifting on each end of the coop. When the chickens have adequately scratched up one area in your yard, just move the coop to another spot or even on top of a garden bed for the chickens to turn over the soil. 

Heavy Duty Wheel Optional Upgrade: The optional wheel upgrade makes moving your coop even easier. Just turn the lever arms into the raised position on either side of your coop, push or pull your coop to a new area and then lower again. The chickens if inside, will jump up onto the horizontal 'cross bar' or fox proof floor and go for a ride!

WOODEN LAYING BOXES (optional) 

Chickens need a nice cosy place to lay their eggs. A flock of around 6 chickens will all share the one laying box, each taking it in turn to lay their eggs. For most owners of backyard chickens, 1-2 nest boxes are adequate. Royal Rooster makes wooden laying boxes specially for the range of chicken coops. They are 36cm x 33cm x 10cm deep and are made from quality, dressed pine.

WOODEN PERCHES

Two wooden perches are included with this coop for night time sleeping area for the chickens. These perches are 42mm wide and 19mm thick, which is said to be the best size and shape for chickens to comfortably perch on for night time sleep.

CHICKEN FEEDERS & DRINKERS

A popular upgrade to the Royal Run Deluxe is a feeder and drinker set. These hook straight onto the mesh of your coop and make keeping chickens a breeze. Available with either a single drinker cup or twin cups. Due to their slimline design, these take up very minimal room in your coop. 

DELIVERY INSURANCE (optional)

Highly recommended. This covers the replacement or repair of your coop if damaged in transit as well as the freight to transport damaged parts back to us and new parts over to you. Only $15 for peace of mind.

ASSEMBLY REQUIREMENTS

These coops are very simple to put together and come with detailed, illustrated instructions. You’ll need a rubber mallet, an electric drill and a number 2 Philips-head driver. Assembly time should be between 1-2 hours depending on skill level. 

LEAD TIME & FREIGHT

All coops are made in our purpose built premises in Willaston in South Australia. Lead times on orders can vary depending on the time of the year and other factors out of our control. Please click here to see that latest lead time on orders.

Delivery with TNT generally then takes between 1-2 weeks to arrive. We have both depot pick up and residential delivery as freight options to keep the cost down for those able to collect from a TNT depot or agent.
